Every file you upload to Stateable moves through three steps — Analyzing, Parsing, and Done — with a few alternate outcomes along the way. This article covers what each status means and what to do if you hit one of the non-happy paths.
The happy path
Analyzing — Stateable is inspecting the file to identify the carrier and the document type. Usually completes in a few seconds.
Parsing — the document's rows are being extracted. This is the longest step; expect up to a minute per ~100 pages.
Done — the statement's data is now available in the Data tab and the file is listed in Documents. You're free to delete the upload card or leave it for reference.
Alternate outcomes
No Match — Stateable doesn't yet recognize the carrier's statement format. No data is imported. Send the file to Stateable Support (via the Support button) so we can add support for this carrier. This typically takes a few business days.
Duplicate — a file with byte-identical content has already been processed in your organization. The earlier statement's data is still in place; there's nothing to do. If you meant to re-process after a config change, delete the existing statement first.
Error — parsing failed after the carrier was matched. This usually means the file is corrupt or in an unexpected layout. Try re-uploading a fresh copy from the carrier, and if it keeps failing, report it through Support.
Where to see the status
Statuses appear in two places:
Upload sheet — each card shows the three-dot step tracker while the file is in flight. This view clears when you reload (or when you click Clear completed).
Currently parsing — the shared org-wide queue at the top of the Upload sheet. This list survives reloads and shows work that a teammate kicked off.
