One page, every Stateable-specific term: skim it once, then come back when something in another article doesn't make sense.
People and access
Organization — your workspace. Has its own data, rules, exports, billing, and teammates. You can belong to more than one and switch between them.
Teammate — someone in your organization. Each teammate has their own set of permissions.
Permission — a single switch that turns on a feature area (Export, Rules, Assistant, Manage Team, Organization Settings).
System administrator — a Stateable staff setting that opens up behind-the-scenes access. Can't be turned on from inside the app.
Documents and data
Statement — a single carrier document. PDF, Excel, or CSV. Once parsed, it turns into rows of data.
Document status — how far along a statement is: Analyzing, Parsing, Done, No Match, Duplicate, or Error.
Carrier — the insurance company a statement comes from. Picked up automatically; you can fix it if it's wrong.
Standard field — a ready-made column (Policy Number, Commission, Effective Date, etc.) that every org gets.
Custom field — a column you add yourself. Filled in by hand or by rules.
Row — one line of a parsed statement. You'll find these in the Data tab.
Filtering and views
Filter — one rule for narrowing down a single field (for example, Carrier = State Farm).
Filter group — a set of filters on the same field, where a row counts if it matches any one of them.
Pill — the little tag that stands for a filter group, shown in the bar above the grid.
View — your search text, filter groups, sort order, and visible columns all together. Saved right in the web address, so you can bookmark or share it.
Rules and tagging
Basic rule — a simple value-to-label: when a value is X, put Y in a custom field.
Advanced rule — a rule that can look at more than one field or check a range of numbers before it decides.
Priority — the order number on a rule group. The lower the number, the more it gets the final say.
Cell provenance — the little pop-up that tells you which rule (or which person) put the value in a cell.
Tag — a value dropped into a custom field, either by a rule or by your own edit.
Exports
One-off export — a quick, one-time CSV/JSON/Excel download of whatever you're looking at in the grid.
Scheduled export — an export that runs again on its own, with its own filters, fields, timing, and destination.
Destination — where a scheduled export drops the file: Stateable storage or your own S3 bucket.
AI assistant
Assistant drawer — the chat panel that slides out on the Data tab.
Approval gate — the moment the assistant pauses and asks you to confirm before it makes a real change to your data.
Thread — a single conversation with the assistant. You can start a new one any time without losing the old ones.
Billing
Plan — the features and monthly upload limit your organization pays for.
Trial — the 14-day free stretch at the start of a new organization.
Billing portal — Stripe's page for updating your payment method and viewing invoices.
