Delete or reprocess a statement after parsing

Clean up mistakes, remove duplicates, or force a reparse after you update a carrier configuration.

Written by Stateable

Sometimes you need to remove a statement or run it through again in Stateable: maybe it was uploaded to the wrong organization, or you want to reparse it after changing a rule. This guide covers both.

Before you begin

You'll need access to the Documents tab to delete a statement, and a reparse starts by deleting the existing one first.

Delete a single statement

  1. Open the Documents tab.

  2. Right-click the row, or hover and click the three-dot menu on the right.

  3. Choose Delete. Confirm the prompt.

Deleting a statement takes every row it created back out of your data.

Heads up: The original file is archived and not recoverable from the app — if you need it back, re-upload the source file.

Reparse a statement

Stateable parses each file just once. To run it through again after, say, an update to a carrier's setup:

  1. Delete the existing statement using the steps above.

  2. Re-upload the same file from the Upload sheet.

The new run uses the latest carrier setup and your latest rules. Any tags your rules create will be applied again to the new rows.

Who can delete

Any teammate with access to the Documents tab can delete statements. There's no separate permission for deleting — review our article on permissions if you want to limit who can do it.

Troubleshooting

  • The row disappears but reappears after a refresh — the delete didn't confirm. Try again and watch for the success toast.

  • Reparsed file is marked as Duplicate — the delete hasn't finished going through yet. Wait a moment and re-upload.

Troubleshooting

  • Delete button is greyed out. You don't have the Manage Team or Organization Settings permission. Ask an admin or see Manage teammate permissions and access.

  • Re-upload still shows the old rows. The first copy wasn't fully deleted before you re-uploaded, so Stateable treated the new file as a duplicate and skipped it. Wait for the deletion to finish (status shows Data Deleted), then re-upload.
